Where body, movement and balance connect
Our approach combines traditional acupuncture with modern treatment techniques to support pain relief, recovery, better movement, stress regulation, and whole-body wellness. Each treatment is guided by your individual needs and may include acupuncture, electroacupuncture / E-Stim, and cupping.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is based on the idea that the body is connected by a network of channels and pathways, much like highways linking different regions and supporting communication, circulation, and overall function. When pain, tension, stress, or dysfunction develops, these pathways may not function as smoothly as they should. Acupuncture works through specific points along these channels to help support circulation, regulate the nervous system, reduce tension, and encourage better overall function.
At Deep Current, acupuncture is used as part of a whole-body approach, with treatment guided by the individual rather than simply the location of symptoms.
Electro acupuncture
Electroacupuncture, often called E-Stim, is a technique that combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation. Small leads are connected to acupuncture needles, allowing a controlled electrical current to pass between selected points.
The stimulation helps activate nerves and muscles, increase local circulation, reduce muscular tension, and support pain modulation and recovery. It can be especially useful when working with areas of tightness, weakness, injury, or chronic pain.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses suction to gently lift the skin and underlying tissues. This creates a decompressive effect that can help improve local circulation, reduce muscular tension, and support mobility and recovery.
Static cupping keeps cups in one place over targeted areas, while slide cupping moves the cups across larger muscle groups to address broader areas of tension.
Cupping may be used to help address tight or overworked muscles, restricted movement, soreness, and areas that feel congested or difficult to release with other techniques.
